El Lagar is an organic family winery in the DO Rueda (Valladolid – Spain)
Alberto Moro and Angeles Ortega are the owners of El Lagar de Moha. Alberto comes from a family vinculated to winemaking for many generations. He always had the desire to start his own cellar and he decided to do it together with his wife in 2018.
Taking care of the biodiversity of the vineyard is essential for them, due to this reason, all its wines and vineyards are certified organic by the European Union.
Last month they have also obtained the Demeter biodynamic certification. Thus becoming the first and only biodynamic vineyard of the DO Rueda.
